In addition to reactivating essential plugins, I explored and installed several new plugins to expand the functionality of The Boneyard. These plugins were chosen specifically to improve the visuals, usability, and overall site performance. One of the main areas I wanted to enhance was design. Since The Boneyard focuses heavily on fossils and imagery, I added a gallery plugin to better display collections of images. This allows visitors to view content in a more organized and visually appealing format. I also added plugins that improve interaction. Features like contact forms create opportunities for visitors to engage directly with the site. This makes the website feel more dynamic and professional rather than static.
Another important addition was search and filtering functionality. As more content is added over time, it becomes increasingly important for users to find specific posts quickly. These plugins make navigation smoother and more intuitive. Finally, I included optimization tools that improve loading speed and image handling. These ensure that even with high quality visuals, the site remains fast and responsive. These new plugins significantly enhanced The Boneyard by making it more interactive, visually engaging, and easier to use.
